Webinar with Tatiana Kucher: Support of senior citizens and people with disabilities through informal education. The experience of “Third Age School” from Gatchina
“Associations of senior citizens can be successful”, considers the team of Regional Non-governmental Organization “Third Age School” of Gatchina district in Leningrad region. The “School” has worked since 2008 and is unique due to its proprietary methods and complex work in the district. “We know how to unite people and how to earn money”, says Tatiana Kucher, the chairperson of the organization board. “We are happy to share our experience with the participants of the webinar that will be held on September 11 at 11 a.m.” (11 a.m. Moscow time/10 a.m. Central European Time).
The organization “Third Age School” was founded in 2008 in Gatchina town of the Leningrad region. Here new methods of work with elderly people are developed, the idea of creating “Third Age Schools” based at social protection institutions is promoted. The organization successfully cooperates with government authorities.
Tatiana Kucher, the chairperson of the board of Regional NGO “Third Age School”, will tell what “Third Age School” means, how this organization works, how it raises funds and generates income.
“During the celebration of the organization’s 10-year anniversary we didn’t spend a ruble, but we raised 500,000 RUB from our sponsors”, says Tatiana Kucher. “We will share this experience, introduce the participants to the technologies of non-formal education of adults and methods of involving senior citizens in volunteering and other activities. Looking forward to meeting you on September 11, 2020 at 11 a.m.”
