“KVN games among people with disabilities have been held in St. Petersburg since 2000, but in the Leningrad region this movement was born 10 years ago. When we just started doing KVN, no one could have thought what it would result in ... The team, which can rightfully be called the locomotive of the league, "OUR PEOPLE from the region" was a representative team. Everyone lived in different cities 200 km away from each other and it was hard work to get together for rehearsals.  A few years later, 11 more teams appeared in the region. We began to hold regional festivals, and then went beyond the region. Saint-Petersburg, Olenegorsk, Kaliningrad, Saratov, Perm, Kostroma joined us”, Victoria Borkannikova says.

KVN, as a means of social rehabilitation of people with mental health issues, is an important factor in their integration into society. These events erase conventional boundaries, because everyone can reveal themselves on the stage, regardless of age and health condition. There are a number of positive factors improving the quality of life of people with disabilities. KVN games are equally interesting for fans watching them, including people of different age and interests.

In 2017, the Amik Television Creative Association highly appreciated the work of the league and gave it a special status. This status allows conducting KVN games among children and adults with special needs in any Russian city on a professional level with the support of the All-Russian Society of People with Disabilities and under the auspices of the AMIK Association, thus proving that humor has no boundaries on the Planet of KVN.

It is important and honorable for people with disabilities to play in the official league. It gives an incentive for creativity and self-improvement.
