Finland – Russia Society is the independent non-party organization which functions in Finland since 1944. The aim of the society is to facilitate the development of co-operation and contacts in different fields between Finland and Russia. Finland – Russia Society unites people with different interests: the ones interested in the Russian language and culture, the ones whose work is connected to Russia and the ones interested in the culture of Finno-Urgic folks on the territory of Russia. At present “Finland – Russia” society counts up to 16 000 members. There are about 200 initial organizations of the society working in Finland. Its members voluntarily study the Russian language, tour around the country, organize concerts, friendship evenings, evenings devoted to special occasions, lectures, gather the humanitarian help etc. The society takes an active part in the development of co-operation with Russia and Nordic countries and European Union within the Baltic and Barents Sea region projects. The society also takes an active part in establishment of the network for cooperation of civil organizations.
The supportgroup in Denmark supports a folkhighschool in Latvia. The school is based on the ideas of Grundtvig. We make courses for older people in handicraft, for children in the summer and different kinds of art courses. We have a building in Latvia where 30 people can sleep and have the activities.
NGO "Contemporary Family" implements projects aimed at the improving of the life’s quality of Russian families and the whole society. We have strong capabilities in IT techologies (sites' bilding, softwear's development etc). As well we try to understand the current worlds trends in state family policy in applying to the situation in Russia. We think about the projects enlarging the democratic opportunities for Russian cictizens.
Awareness Center is active in a broad range of environmental activities with special emphasis on chemical substances. Awareness Center has access to a variety of tool to evaluate and predict properties of chemicals and their environmental behaviour. Awareness Center provides technical support, participates in research- and development activities og conducts training and educational tasks. Awareness Center is active in identification, planning and audit of projects and participates in projects. Awareness Center may well undertake the resposibility as project leader. Awareness Center has a broad national and international network and participates in project in Denmark as well as abroad. Environment is found high on the agenda and Awareness Center is devoted to actions that support a sustainable development in the local, regional and global society today as well as in the future.
"Network for Ecological Education and Practice" was founded on january 21st 1994, with the object to establish a foundation for information, exchange of experience and dialogue about initiatives in promoting a sustainable development in Denmark. This is done by informing about meetings, courses etc., and by establishing connections between projects and people. Eco-net is a member of the three umbrella organizations: “The Danish 92 Group – Forum for Sustainable Development” (25 Danish environment and development organizations), “Danish Adult Education Association” (34 national, adult education organizations) and CISU – Civil Society in Development (286 Danish development organizations)
We develop the Civil society in Russia. Centre "Garant" is a non-governemental charity organisation, created by the active people more than 20 years ago. Centre "Garant" is: - a resource centre for NGOs; - a Community Foundation for social projects; - Centre for development of volunteering of active people; - a centre for development of youth's leaderships; - a centre of international NGOs' cooperation. Our capital is 10 professional employees and more than 50 experts and partners from different regions of Russia. We implented more than 100 local, national and international projects. We are recognized as experts on the local and international levels.
Interfolk, Institute for Civil Society is a Danish non-profit association and private research institute, founded in 2008. The aim is to promote humanistic and democratic learning capacities in a civil society context. The activities of Interfolk include research, surveys, development projects, courses, seminars, debate activities and other cultural activities - in a Danish, Nordic and European context. Interfolk’s main area of project activity is in adult education, arts and culture and promotion of the learning capacity in civil society contexts. Interfolk has since 2008 been coordinator for 4 Danish development projects, 8 Nordic projects supported by Nordplus Adult, Culture Point Nord as well as the Nordic Council of Ministers NGO programme for the Baltic Sea region and the open programme for cooperation with Russian NGOs; and 7 EU projects supported by the former Grundtvig programme and current Erasmus+ programme and the Creative Europe programme. All these Nordic and EU programme can to some extent include cooperation with Russian NGOs. Below three typical projects are presented.
Support and development of NGOs, support of people with disabilities, development of local communities, ecology and sustainable development of territories, sports, tourism.
"Order of veche" is a community of active young people who have set themselves the task to unify the most diverse organizations and social movements in the city of Pskov. A large number of significant events took place. "Order of veche" resumed the implementation of several international projects in the Pskov region - "Bookcrossing", "Photo Dryer" and "Total Dictation". At the same time, several own projects were realized - the forum "Employment! Entrepreneurship! Development!", projects "To remember ..." and "LOFTLIFT". The undoubted advantage of the project is the orientation not only of entertainment events, but also the implementation of serious forums related to volunteerism, education, employment and personal growth of the Pskov youth.
