Danish-Russian Association covers a network of local Danish-Russian Associations. The association constitutes a strong, organizational platform for cultural, environmental exchange projects and seminars with the overall aim of supporting intercultural understanding. The association arranges seminars on international political, cultural and environmental questions concerning the Baltic Sea Region and international cooperation involving Russia. Potential partners are welcome to contact us with project ideas or for network activities. We operate independently and do not have affiliation with political parties nor do we represent any specific political interests.
Estonian Wildlife Center was founded 5.08.2017 Estonian Wildlife Center operates as an umbrella organization for the network of people helping wild animals, organizes information exchange, represents a common interest, concludes contracts and coordinates cooperation with other organizations and authorities. It is the largest and best known wildlife assistance organization in Estonia. Thousands of people in need come to us every year and we have a nationwide network of shelter homes. Our mission is to help wild animals that are disturbed by human activity in the urban environment or in the wild (rescuing, curing, rehabilitating, etc.) and releasing them the natural environment. We rely on scientific knowledge, veterinarians and experts to assist wild animals in need or injured. We organize trainings and seminars, hold lectures and trainings for children and educational institutions. We initiate / commission studies and analyzes. We collect data on the location of wild animals, causes of injuries, diseases, treatments, etc., and participate in relevant research programs. We work with other associations with similar goals, both at home and abroad. Please feel free to contact us for any kind of cooperation ideas, projects etc. We follow the ethics code of NGOs. We collect resources for helping animals and use them for specific purposes. Ponimanie is professional and volunteer non-governmental organization set up in Belarus, and working in realm of Children's Human Rights, Prevention and Response to Child Abuse and Neglect since 2000. It was registered by the Ministry of Justice, and re-registered in 2006, reg. #01407 dated of April 06, 2006. Ponimanie is national leader in Prevention and Response to Child Abuse and Neglect, visible on Global level, and making impact with its innovations in Eastern European Region, the Pacific, and worldwide during the last 18 years. Ponimanie is developing the United Child Protection Model, recognized with ISPCAN Multidisciplinary Team Award in 2014. Ponimanie possesses great experience in advocacy, policy-making, training for professionals, and direct service delivery, summarized in 24 books, and 3 toolkits in 2003-2018. It holds and develops 7/24 toll-free Child Helpline Belarus, network of 21 CAC, Treatment Service for abused children, National Center for Missing and Exploited Children – Belarus. Ponimanie's action is going from the bottom of Direct Service Delivery to the top of Policy Making, and International Advocacy in favor of children’s rights and protection of child victims and witnesses of violence, and other vulnerable groups of children. INGO "Ponimanie" participated at some public-private consultative bodies including the Commission on Juvenile Affairs under the Council of Ministers, allowing to advocate in the Government to take decisions in favor of Children’s Rights and Protection. ￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼￼ INGO “Ponimanie” is National Partner of International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) in Belarus since 2006, UNICEF’s implementing partner in 2001-2006, a member of Child Rights Connect (former NGO Group for Children’s Rights), Child Rights Information Network (CRIN), member of Child Helpline International (CHI), member of Global Missing Children Networking (GMCN), implementing partner of International Organization for Migration (IOM) in prevention of trafficking in children (2010-12), participant of development of General Comment-13 (GC-13) to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, founding co-author of the first in national history Alternative Report following to the 3-4th Belarus State Party Periodical Report to UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, on the implementation of the Article 19 of UN CRC (2010-11). In 2000-2008 INGO "Ponimanie" was Grantee of local office of UNICEF, Counterpart Alliance for Partnership (USAID funded Program), local office of World Bank, and Swiss Office of Development and Cooperation in Belarus. Since 2009 INGO "Ponimanie" successfully operates on open international donors market. It is Grantee of World Childhood Foundation, European Commission (in partnership with British Council), Government of Poland, Germany (in partnership with SOS-Kinderdorf), US Government, Dutch Government, Swiss and US private foundations. INGO "Ponimanie" secures up to 17% of its annual budget (2017) from local sources of national socially-responsible business and Belarus citizens. INGO “Ponimanie” is evidence-based professional Human Rights NGO with strong capacity both in content of the action, and project management. It has rich 18-years long track records recognized with international awards and appreciation letters from USAID, World Bank, UNICEF, ISPCAN, US NDAA, Gundersen NCPTC, Boston University (USA), Ramböll Management (Sweden), Chance International Foundation (Belarus), as well as local awards. It is Laureate of National Social Fair of 2005, 2006, and 2007. Founder of Ponimanie Mr. Andrey Makhanko was recognized with USAID Cenrtificate of Recognition for Implementation of the US experience in reponse to violence against children in Belarus (2016), Who is Who (Belarus edition, 2016), Certificate of Recognition of the State of California Senate (2017), and the Donald Fridley Memorial Award for Excellence in Training and Mentoring (2017). Current Chairman of Ponimanie Prof., Dr. Vladimir Yanchuk is bright figure on international psychological arena, ex-member of National Commission on Children's Rights, extremely influential person in Children's Rights on national level, and within international scientific and expert community, author of the Concept of the First Natonal Study of Child Abuse in Belarus (2006-08), recognized with famous State Decoration - Francis Skaryna Medal. We are looking for foreign and international support to our activity due to 1) poor and tough international donor market for Human Rights/Children's Rights available for Belarus; 2) absence of local culture of philanthropy and financial participation in solution of societal challenges in Belarus both in people and business; 3) active counteraction of excessive intermediaries (local UN and some civic/expert/human rights defenders groups) protecting their unjust control over international donor support to national civil society of Belarus. We become weaker in 2019 because of dirty competition on international donor market, from the side of local UN agencies, and we need for building new partnerships aiming for better outcomes for children in Belarus, and wider in Baltic Region.
The Centre is a non governmental, non partisan,non profit and neutral organisation centre based in Reykjavik,Iceland.It is a humanitarian organisation that works to assist the most deprived, most needy,the most deprived and the voiceless both home and abroad. It is legally registered in accordance with Icelandic law.We raise awareness and bring to focus the fact that various societal influences are often the biggest obstacles and barriers that prevent us from seeing the reality. We make it known that we have to free ourselves of these obstacles to avoid racism,discrimination,hatred,misunderstanding and prejudices. We oppose segregation and welcome integration and inclusion in the real sense of the word.We also keep track on government policies on immigration and refugees to be able to lobby,propose and implement necessary changes
PSR’s mission is to raise awareness in the medical community on global ethical and social matters, and to promote safe livelihoods, equality and peace. The organization is non-partisan and independent of companies and any commercial entities that could endanger the professional integrity of physicians. PSR does not accept financial support from the medical or pharmaceutical industries. PSR is an affiliate of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) and a part of Health Action International (HAI). The central work of PSR consists of: development cooperation, peace promotion, and social responsibility in healthcare.
The objective of the Ngo Foreningen Danmark-Letland is to strengthen and develop friendships between people from Denmark and people from Latvia. It is done through: personal contacts, participation in international networks (One example is The Baltic Sea Network), participation in projects, propagation of art and culture of all kinds, publication of a magazine 4 times a year (see: http://www.danmark-letland.dk/)
Danish Resources was founded in 1965 as a non-profit, benevolent organization to deal with young citizens with serious problems such as drug-abuse and deviant behavior.
NGO "Contemporary Family" implements projects aimed at the improving of the life’s quality of Russian families and the whole society. We have strong capabilities in IT techologies (sites' bilding, softwear's development etc). As well we try to understand the current worlds trends in state family policy in applying to the situation in Russia. We think about the projects enlarging the democratic opportunities for Russian citizens. As well we were involved into intense exhibition activities (theme: families & different nationalities). Nowdays we are preparing photo exhibition "Family: work & world". Combining our exhibition skills and enthusiasm for liberal and democratic principles, history, we described (on our website) the project of the museum in Pskov, which would tell about the modern essence and advantages of democratic governance with the involvement of the historical heritage of the Novgorod-Pskov Republic and the Hanseatic Union. We also develop the topic of gender equality on our website.
